Summary:
HB 237, as amended on May 27, 2005, includes a pharmacist as a health care professional who is obligated to report suspected cases of child abuse. The bill permits a pharmacist to dispense emergency contraception in accordance with protocols, educational and training requirements, and based on a protocol between a pharmacist and physician or other prescriber.
